Description

This easy object to observe visually is a toughie to image, with parts ranging from super bright to almost sky level.

I only got 6 hours of data with a duoNB filter and the EdgeHD scope, so this was still noisey. Nevertheless, if you look closely you can see the very faint
outer - outer ring, surrounding the faint but more obvious second ring around the core "Cheerio" of the Ring Nebula.

Thanks to GeneralizedHyperbolicStretch, I was able to push, pinch, shove and stretch what I thought was totally blown out data into something with more dynamic range.
It's a great tool, takes some learning and practice but it is very flexible.

I did clip the background in order to eek out the third out ring.  I normally try to keep the sky from going black.

Russ Croman's BlurXterminator, NoiseXterminator and StarXterminator were also invaluable.

I'll get some more data on this next year and see if we can go deeper and get some more detail.
